I'll start by saying TEDxUF is an invitation-only event held annually at the University of Florida - but oh so worth it!
We hope you've heard of the TED Talks - a collection of speakers performers and demos that cover anything inspiring creative entrepreneurial technologically groundbreaking fascinatingly strange incredulous discoveries in self/career...and the list goes on and on.
TED started as a conference in 1984 that brought people from: Technology Entertainment & Design together; it's a nonprofit devoted to "Ideas Worth Spreading". Within TED there are many independently organized talks and gatherings. One is taking place in Gainesville under the TEDxUF group on Saturday February 26th at the Constans Theatre from 1 - 5p.m.
Typically speakers at this event boast a broad range of achievements specific to the University of Florida and surrounding Gainesville area.
Request an invitation for TEDxUF here and don't miss (as they coin it) "the talk of your lives in 18 minutes or less".
Until then watch one of my favorite TED Talks by Sheryl Sandberg COO of Facebook on why she thinks there are too few female leaders. One time for the 305!
