Tired of chain restaurants you can find on any street in town? The locally owned and run stone fired pizza and homemade inspired pastas at Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza aren't the makings of a typical pizza shack. Here you'll find the rare combination of both quantity and quality when dining in or ordering out.
We are Piesanos lunch-break experts; since our corporate office and three of our CMC Apartments are located just down the street from the Hunter's Crossing location. Both locations embody a dining for all ages" atmosphere with a long list to choose from that includes: pastas and traditional favorites calzones subs and burgers and of course their infamous stone fired pizzas.

There's a lot to discuss so we broke it into four categories we've tried. For starters don't skip the freshly made Piesanos rolls - warm and tearable rolls smothered in their signature dressing then try...
SALADS Sticking to healthy habits is doable at Piesanos but be warned the servings are enormous! Try their take on a Summer Salad or try the Mediterranean Salad (seen here with a shrimp add-on). This salad features hearty greens with cherry tomatoes kalamata olives candied pecans and fresh mozzarella cheese. We've added their homemade raspberry dressing - which holy smokes - is punchy! CALZONES While you can create your own Calzone (or order the San Genero calzone with sausage green peppers onions ricotta & mozzarella) we also enjoyed their Sausage and Broccoli Rabe (seen below); but be warned: you may or may not finish this dish in one sitting. PIZZAS Stone fired anything is always a winner! The pizza toppings go from basic Margherita up to their Piesanos Supreme seen below with: Italian sausage green peppers onions mushrooms and pepperoni in different sizes. There are a lot of old world style pizzas to try as well. PASTAS Chicken Marsala is always a hit: it's creamy rich and marsala-y. We also like their Chicken Piccatta; if you're a tart lover it's covered in capers and a zesty lemon sauce. Their lunch menu includes Spaghetti and Meatball - yes as in ONE meatball. But it's a mighty big one so hopefully enough for you. We've cut it up and it works just fine.
We think Piesanos is a win on all levels: affordability variety and a great atmosphere - and did we mention the gigantic portions already? Add this Gainesville restaurant favorite to your list of things to do near your CMC Apartment community.
